I've got a question for you videophiles out there.

So I'm gonna be doing some filming with the new Contour Roam I picked up, and currently I'm using what's probably a Speed-Class 2 SD Card.

My question is, for something like a Roam, does using a higher class card (6+) make a big difference in the quality of the film? Would you recommend going out and buying a higher class card?

I've noticed some artifacts in some of the film I've shot so far, which I've heard is a byproduct of low write-speed.

Yeah, get a higher class card for sure. I had problems with a class 4 card but it was also a low budget one to boot. Since I went with an SLR I just upgraded to class 10 cards and have no complaints. They are reasonably priced these days.

You definitely made the right choice. You can expect to see phenomenally smooth playback via HDMI in future.
