(sorry, not sure where I should post this)

Have seen a couple of things that catch my eye in the FS boards. How do people safely manage purchases they organise through here? An ebay sale, on good faith that the goods will turn up or how? Thanks.

It's pretty much a good faith thing. I've only bought and sold a couple of things on here, but whenever I've done it, I've dealt with people who've been here awhile, not somebody with just a hand full of posts. That's not fool proof, but it makes me feel better about it at least.

Local pickup is best. Alternatively, you can use paypal and pay as a good purchase, then you're protected the same way you're protected on eBay...

The only time I've ever been burned was when I sent a personal transfer to a guy in the states (for Toyota MR2 parts) and he never shipped them. I still have the guys name and address in case I'm ever in Houston, TX... :D
