I am looking for a fully padded bag with wheels for my new snowboard, since my last bag is to small and I really want something with wheels.
Since i normally travel with bus or plane i need something fully padded.

So was originally going to order a darkine low roller, but the dimensions det is as 30cm wide (as the bag itself including padding) and my board is about 33 cm at it's widest point.

I would prefer something with the quality to price of the darkine bag, but every Recommendations in most price points are very welcome

You'll have no probs fitting that size board in a wheelie type bag as their significant height allows them to expand out. The Burton fish here has a nose width of 319.1mm. I layer boards in space sacks on top of each other that add a lot more width and they fit in. Length will be the crucial factor as the board will become the spine of the wheelie bag once inside so you need to get a bag that is for the right size for your board.

So the low roller will be just fine in width?

Length wise i would go for a 165 since my board is a 163. or is it better to size up when getting close to the recommended lenght?

Yep. Burton have designed a new Wheelie Gig bag for '23 and I've found the zips materials and construction are slightly more superior than Dakine. A wheelie bag will probably be a lifetime investment if you look after it.

Do not buy a bag too little or too much bigger than the board as you will have undue slop in the handle which will fold up when moving around.
Thank you for the help and the recommendation.

Since Craig is mentioning the wheelie gig will work, I'll throw in that Burton currently has it on sale for another 10 hours in the US for $160
I don't think there is such a good deal in europe unfortunately. but i'll take a look.

Dakine Highroller may suit you. more width than the lowroller. 34cm width vs 30cm for the lowroller. & 14cm more height as well. 29cm vs 15cm for the lowroller.

Highroller Dimensions
  • 165cm version
  • 13.5 x 11.5 x 70 [ 34 x 29 x 178cm ]
  • Fits max. 165cm board
  • 7.1 lbs [ 3.2 kg ]
  • 175cm version
  • 13.5 x 11.5 x 74 [ 34 x 29 x 188cm ]
  • Fits max. 175cm board
  • 7.4 lbs. [ 3.3kg ]
I thought they both had the same width, must have looked at the same specs twice. Thank you for mentioning the highroller with dimensions

Found the Jones exposition (Expedition) for the same price as a wheelie gik (Gig). Does anyone have experience with it and would it be a better but for that price, or is in lesser quality than darkine (Dakine) and Burton bags?
(The adventurer (Adventure) is also available for less than the low roller by a 20%, but i can't find much user infor (info) on either Jones bags)

Edit: I have made some mistakes. The correct words and the correct spelling is highlighted in red. I am sorry these mistakes were so bad, that i now need moderator approval to post in this thread.

Are you deliberately spelling everything wrong???

1. Jones Expedition,

2. Wheelie Gig,

3. Dakine,

4. Jones Adventure,

5. info'.

17 x reviews on their site and it scores a 4.9/5.
I am not no.
My phone didn't like a lot of those words, when autocorrect wasn't set to only english. So when i was typing it out the second time, while in a hurry, i didn't have time to check the spelling. sorry about that.

I can see Jones get good reviews but so does the Burton and Dakine bags. I am trying to figure out which bag is of higher quality. As you said a good wheelie bag can last a very long time.
