Hi, I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but I couldn't find the right thread straight away.
What gloves are good for carving, that are preferably strong, water resistant and cheap? I've read about Kinco and snowseal, anyone know the European / Norwegian equivalent?

Not sure if you can buy these, but Oakley trigger mittens have been my go to for a few years now, leather so doesnt get torn up on hand drags, I'd say it's average for warmth, I wear them no matter the temperature

From the snowboard gloves the Levels with Kevlar and plastic reinforcements held the longest for me (but still finally lost to a truly icy groomer). From now on me and my eurocarving friends just get demobil army gloves - gore tex and ripstop with leather that you can get for 8 EUR per pair. I bought 6 pairs and I am still working on trashing the first pair this season. They hold up better than 80 EUR ‘core’ snowboard gloves. If it’s really cold I just put in the inner glove I still have from my Levels.

Thanks, I found a pair of Black Diamond dirt bag mittens I'd bought on sale and forfot about. Although quite thin it kept me warm in -20 and seems to hold up quite good. Will keep my eye open for an army surplus store too, I think they pop up sporadically over here.

The leather on Hestra Heli gloves broke too soon to justify the price.

@MountainMystic flicked me a set of Kinco Gloves, needed to put a lot of work into them but they've been awesome this week. I'm now a fan of gloves, prefer mitts but the Kincos were warm and durable.

I had a pair of GTX Burton mitts previously that cost me 3 times as much and they were 3 times as shite so far.
