Golden Orca Sizing Help

Hello!
I am going to buy a 2023 Golden Orca for this season and am torn between the 150 and 153 cm. I'm 5'9, 160 lbs, and wear a size 9 boot. I worry that if I go for the 153 then it will be too large for my size 9 boot and it will feel a little sluggish heel to toe especially through trees, but I also want to be able to ride through powder and have stability at speed and I think the 150 may be too small for that.

I'm an advanced rider - my favorite type of riding is tree runs, side hits off groomers, and powder (when I can find it).

Any advice is appreciated!!

So you're worried about 3mm???

And even though the Golden Orca is a standout in Kevins top 10 powder boards of all time??? I'd be definitely looking elsewhere.

Kevin is hyping the regular Orca 2020 in his vid. It was overhyped basically everywhere, including Angry:

Generally the Orca and the C2 profile dont get much love. I have fun on my 2020 in powder. Oddly I havent sold it, but constantly pick other boards over it. It is kinds stuck in snowboard purgatory.

If you are sold on it, check out how close the widths are, not sure the 153 would feel sluggish over the 150. I would prob lean 153 for you.

Golden Orca is not something you downsize as much you would with an OG Orca. You could be on either the 153 or 157. I bet the 153 would feel plenty nimble for you.

FYI, I am about your size (5'9,160lbs, US 8, Now medium bindings) and was fine on the 157 Golden Orca. Also ride 153 OG Orca when it dumps.

why is that? over rated?
Im in a similar boat 5'10" 160lbs and am between the 150 or 153 Golden Orca - I rode a 2022 Orca last year 153 and 150 and preferred the 150. I know like mentioned above the Golden you dont size down as much as the regular orca so it makes me lean to the 153.

This is my dedicated powder board for heavy dumps in whistler or my yearly baldface trip. I have others in the quiver for resort and park.

151 - Box Knife
152 - Spacecase
