hi, this is my virgin post here...

I'm an intermediate boarder who have been riding a K2 Luna for the past 4 years (resort riding, probably only about 25 days total). While the board's been good to me, I feel it's time for me to upgrade to a more progressive board for me to advance in my technique and to build my confidence. I also think I've been riding a board slightly too long for me (147).

I would consider myself an all-mountain rider who would like to become a better freerider between trees, but also maybe venture into the park. I would say I'm still not 100% confident and sometimes still have bad days where I catch edges.

I was looking at the Roxy Eminence BTX - is it too much of a board for me, or will it be good to progress on it? What about Roxy Emimence MTX without the banana rocker?

I'm 5'4", 113lbs and really am open to any suggestions you might all have. Thanks in advance for your time!

you think the 147 might be too long, what's your height/weight?

If you want to do more glades/trees, I'd stay away from banana rocker. Some people swear by them, and the MTX, too, but I think both of those get mixed reviews. I've got a Ride machete with the low-rize rocker, so it's kind of a flat-rocker profile not banana or anything, I can ride it in trees, but prefer a stiffer regular camber board better edge-hold/braking power. That said, if you want to go more in the park, a banana might be better for that. You're looking at two very different types of riding, and so you could very well use two very different board profiles :)
