Icy conditions...bad day snowboarding?

I went to the local hill, it was so icy and hard packed, I actually didn't have fun at all. First time in 2 years I actually hated it, and it was all the runs that were just hard as rock and solid ice. Anyone else ever went out hoping to get some time shredding and it absolutely sucked? I never knew that could happen...

ya it sucks whenever you go up to the mountain and there is literally more ice than snow. one time they had to close the mountain because it was too icy and dangerous
