I have some military training in Colorado Springs coming up. I plan on riding on weekends/whenever I can. Which resorts are open at that time? It seems like A-basin is, do they have night boarding there?

A Basin and Loveland (until May 5th) are probably going to be your only options. Maybe Wolf Creek might be open on a few of those weekends.

No night boarding at any of those spots.

Not to threadjack but I will be flying in to CO next friday, and I found most of the resorts close this weekend, except for A-basin, Loveland and Winter Park, question to the locals, which one of those three do you think is still in the best shape, or got the most snow this week?

All of those areas have the coverage. The bigger question is who will get the most snow. Checking the snow report the day you head up is probably the best way to decide. Lately, A-Basin and Loveland have been the winners. Winterpark is in it's own flow, and at times it's quite the reverse. If it's going to be sunny and not windy, I'd choose between A-Basin and Loveland. They have the sunniest exposure and usually the best spring conditions as a result.

Thanks for the info! Was just out in Tahoe last weekend and the conditions were terrible, hoping to make up for it next weekend in CO.

Have you made it to any mountains yet? We have good conditions right now. I do know Arapahoe Basin has been busy. In Colorado a lot of people have passes good at A-Basin since it is kinda a Vail resort and is included in their passes. With good conditions more people will come up and crowd the mountain. Even during the week it has been crowded. There have been days when I arrived at 9am and had to park in the upper lots during the week.

With all this snow we got, the conditions should be good. In the spring it will be frozen in the mornings if it was warm during the day. This spring has been colder and conditions are more like February. Fresh snow is nice even if it is slushy.

I have no idea about Loveland, I don't ride there, but they are open and likely less crowded. Winter Park is now closed. Aspen Highlands is open April 27-28. I believe these are your options at this point.
