This is a good idea except they've already been posting spam within existing threads from what I've seen.Minimum numbers of posts required to start new threads. Lots of forums put that number at 100.

We have added an extra layer to the registration process that should help thwart spammers as of today. Keep reporting the spammers if they get through, hopefully we'll see number of posts go way down.
