K2 Alchemist (2021-2024)

Personally I thought the 2021 looked like a gimmick to separate cash from a poser’s wallet:

2022 was looking better, but I’m not sure about that space glass even though I’ve seen it in ski tips. Did they take it out of the tail (or maybe it was never there)?

2023 is not a looker. Is the S1 core just a renamed Bambooyah pro? I’m not sure about the recess3D. No carbon in the base, but that might stand up better.
Rectangle Violet Font Art Sky

2024 actually looks like a normal board. Is the space glass now gone?

The spectral braid does seem like a great idea, here’s the 23 construction:

The board is definitely not a style queen. I think the Antidote is a much better looking model within K2's Landscape Collection. But after spending numerous weekends on my 2023 159W, looks have been the least of my worries considering how this things hauls ass and rails turns into trenches.

The Spaceglass has never been in the tail, it’s the transparent topsheet on the 2021. There are no differences between the 2021 and 2022 model (that I own). I can say that as some of the members of our amateur snowboard group (https://instagram.com/ink_snowboarders?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= ) have the 2021 and 2022 models (we have like 7 of them and one guy has just got the 2023 model). You can read on some German site that the 2022 has a stiffer nose and I thought it was true due to the less visible Spaceglass there but it’s just a matter of how much mm camber height (between 4 to 7 mm) you get randomly like in any other snowboard (my 164W 2022 is a touch softer than my friend’s 163 2021 for example).
I cannot comment on the 2023 model yet as I haven’t even flexed it.

The 2023 model has a downgraded sintered base due to shrinkflation. The carbon base is exceptionally fast and durable (I ran over some small pebbles on my friend’s 2021 and I was shocked there was no scratch). I cannot comment if the core has changed or it was just renamed. The argument that a denser, more packed and carbon infused base is less durable has no logic (see the downgrade of the Simple Pleasures over the years and how Manifest vs the more expensive Manifest Team differed in that matter).

Personally, while I prefer black sleek boards (70 % of my quiver), I like the graphics on the 2021 and 2023 the most.

I like the look of 21, 22 and 24. Antidote seems ugly.
How did you find the 2024 graphic for the alchemist? Curious to see how the rest of the lineup looks

Looks similar to the construction of the arbor annex.

Man you know what - I picked up a ‘23 Alchemist off of here for a great deal but I’m surprised to report I DO notice the slightest of difference in base speed between it and my ‘22 Manifest Team.. Always thought all that carbon base stuff was more of a marketing gimmick tbh..

Does it matter? Nope. Is it interesting to note the subtle difference? My nerd side says yes. 🤓

W/e I LOVE the Alchemist so far. But damn you shrinkflation.

I have a 2022 K2 Alchemist 160, def as someone mentioned earlier, it hauls ass, stiff and holds an edge like glue. I love the space glass nose. So many people in lift lines ask me about the board. This winter I hit Whistler, Big Sky, Breckenridge and Park City. It's my bomber and powder board when conditions warrant it. Set it back a bit and it floats like crazy over deep pow.
Does anyone know if there are any differences between the 2023 and 2024 K2 Alchemist?
Different strokes and all but man it was the '23 that first turned my head. That blue is stunning!
Any more info on that green one? Was that special edition for a shop?

That was the Made in the USA version (Washington) available to anyone directly from K2's website a couple years ago.
