Hi all!
As the title suggests, I need some help deciding on a park board! I’ve been building out a quiver over the last year and the last board which I would like to add is a dedicated park board. This is my quiver as of now:
- All mountain freestyle: ‘22 Libtech TRS 159W
- All mountain freeride: ‘23 Ride Mtnpig 160W
- Powder: ‘21 Ride Sushi 144
My requirements for a park board are as follows:
- Shape: True Twin
- Camber Profile: Rocker-Camber-Rocker Hybrid
- Flex: Medium-ish overall, with softer/larger tips to practice buttering/jibbing (and so it’s somewhat forgiving)
- Price: (ideally) around $400-$500
- Other:
- I need it to be all mountain friendly so I can take it out of the park and still have a good time (decent carves and can hold an edge)
- Sintered base (nice-to-have, but not required)
So, I’ve narrowed it down to these boards, and need help deciding which one to go for:
- Yes Dicey
- Dinosaurs Will Die Rat (the new version with a RCR camber profile - not sure if it would be too soft though)
- Salomon Huck Knife
Out of the three, I'm currently leaning most towards the
Dicey, but I've heard a lot of good things about the
Huck Knife and the
Rat too (haven't seen any info about the
Rat w/ the new RCR camber - all the info online seems to be about the old RFR camber).
Also, I need some help deciding on size. I’m unsure of whether to go for a 152 or 154. I want to downsize from my usual 157-159 sizing so it’s easier to spin/maneuver, just not sure which to go for as I’m concerned the 152 may be too small, but it’s also only a 2 cm difference so idk if it matters that much.
I’m also open to any feedback or suggestions for decks/considerations I may have missed!
Thanks!
