I'm 5'10 weight 130 lbs and want to get more into park/street do you think a 155 is too big of a board? the board comes up to the bottom of my chin.
Hi theoneandonly,

Stoked that you are getting a new deck!

Trying to size a board by rider height or matching to a body part (eyebrows, chin, shoulders, etc.) is responsible for many expensive board buying mistakes and regrets. The size of board that you will need will depend on the design of the board and will vary greatly from model to model.

The two important factors for board sizing are weight and foot size. We have your 130 lbs, so lets find out that foot size.

Please measure your foot using this method:

Kick your heel (barefoot please, no socks) back against a wall. Mark the floor exactly at the tip of your toe (the one that sticks out furthest - which toe this is will vary by rider). Measure from the mark on the floor to the wall. That is your foot length and is the only measurement that you will want to use. Measure in centimeters if possible, but if not, take inches and multiply by 2.54 (example: an 11.25 inch foot x 2.54 = 28.57 centimeters).

Okay so I got my foot size its 26.67 cm, the board Im trying to get right now is a CAPiTA Ultrafear 155 for park
Thanks for that.

26.67 is a mid range size 9 in snowboard boots. The 155 cm size is 25.5 cm at the waist (but nothing happens at the waist). It is 26.4 at the center inserts. Your foot is 26.67 but with normal stance angles you will lose ~ another 1 cm in adjusted foot length. That would put you ~ .75 cm inside the edges. We would rather see you with some barefoot overhang. Straighter angles or narrower stance width would improve that (if that were your preference). You may not hit the ideal with the Ultrafear but the 153 or 151 may be better choices. Please let us know your stance width and stance angles as well.

You have a size 9 boot but that board is a park board. So yes, in my opinion is that the board is too big for you.

Boot size 9, and your weight, you are choosing a all mountain size at 154 or 155.

Look at the 151 and 153 models. My opinion is that maybe the 151 suits you better for park and street but I will let more park oriented experts to give their opinion.

Also a good choice.
It largely depends on you.
Both the boards have different stiffness so if you are searching for a more mellow playful ride, then you are good with the ultrafear.
The Butter knife is a bit stiffer, still playfull so it means that it handles the groomers and speed a bit better than the ultrafear.

It also depends on the deal that you are getting. Don't forget that street boards dont last long because of the usage.
If there is a big difference in price, just choose the Butter knife since I bet that it's price is really low since this board was discontinued back in 2015.

Cheers
