i searched it and looked around the site for what the never summer damp meter is a scale of...so if you know you should tell me :) please and thanks

dampness is the boards ability to absorb small bumps in the snow, allowing you to hold a solid edge through chunky crusty choppy manky snow, think shocks on your car. Neversummer's freeride snowboards have long been know for their dampness. Good luck trying to compare with other brands (NS prob. damper then them all). Too much dampness will make the board feel sluggish from edge to edge at slower speeds, benefits are noticed in high speed carves.
