New bindings and boots

Hello,

I'm off to Whistler for the season in October and I'm looking to purchase new bindings and boots but really stuck on what types to go for and what not to get and what would be good for me.

I'm an average snowboarder, I can do all if not most runs. I'm starting to learn some basic freestyle tricks (spins, presses, grabs) so I'd like bindings and boots which are good for that also ones which are good for just generally going down the mountain (as I wont be doing tricks all the time).

I'm really interested in Switchback bindings, anyone have any? If so what are they like?
any binding recommendations will be great

Boot wise, I've not done much looking into but I'd like them to have the locking laces (when you tighten the lace and they don't come loose)

Bindings- someone else could probably speak to this better. But I ride the ride maestro's and love them, but there are tons of bindings out there so I'm sure you'll get a bunch more/better recommendations.

Boots- honestly, you need to go to a shop and just try on every pair they have to find out what is comfortable for your foot. If you just buy boots off of someone's recommendation, they may fit them great and be perfect but don't fit your foot correctly and then you will be miserable...

Thank you for the reply :)

I was planning on going and try some but needed some recommended on my riding skill, I could then try out the recommendations people have given me, if boots don't make that much of a difference then I will go and try a boat load on!
