New board, all mountain park wide

We have a similar build, but I ride about 80% park with my 157 Arbor Blacklist. You might like it, soft to medium flex with some awesome features.

Never Summer Proto HDX may be worth looking at. Ive seen quite a few people say good things about it and it will cater to your larger feet, all mountain ability, and durability.

That's a strange list to compile. The Credit is a budget all mountain board. The Slayblade is a stiff higher end all mountain freeride board. Thejweapon is a soft jibstick. And the custom is a mid flex all mountain deck.

Look into the Flow Era, Salomon Villain, K2 Happy Hour, Nitro Rook, or a Yes Jackpot.

I am almost the exact same size and stats as you. You just have an inch on me in height. Out of your list, the Carbon Credit is probably the board best suited to what you're looking for, but it is a budget board. Nothing wrong with that, just good to know prior to purchase.

This would be my suggestion to you. It's a good board, and it rides well. Soft enough for park, but still stiff enough to ride around the mountain. The knock on it is that it will soften up quite a bit as it breaks in. Still a fun ride for everything after it breaks in though. It is a bit on the spendy side however.

Nivek, do any of these have any dampness to them? Can u suggest a good mid flexing all mountain twin that does?

I rode a 2013 Salomon Villain 155W last season and it was a good mid flex, had a good time with it but def should've been on something a bit longer for my body type lol.

Damp high speed vibrations? Damp ride smooth in chop? Or damp high impact shock?

Thanks for this. Now I understand, why I had trouble with understanding certain reviwes/comments on dampness. Same word for rather different characteristics :dunno::icon_scratch:

The Rossignol Angus Amptek ive heard is a great all mountain board. Lot of pop off jumps but can still shred pow.

Im the same weight and shoe size as you. I have the 158 flow era. I find it to be a bit small for what you are looking for but doable. A little small for pow days. However mine is from the year before they blunted it so maybe it will be a bit better now?

I have a 160 blacklist that should do what you want. I have not ridden it pow yet however. If you are in the usa there is one on gear trade for a smoking deal.

I'm looking for an alternative to the Proto, which I love but it seems maybe I'm missing out on some other great boards... My knees are old. I have an Evil Twin that is stiffer yet not at all damp it bucks all over, so by comparison I'm looking for something that will provide a bit of a smoother ride.

I'm also 6'-4" 205lb, size 12 but I still prefer a traditional camber board. I mainly ride East Coast hard pack, some powder up North if I'm lucky and about 10% park. I still have a K2 Zeppelin Wide 163 that is my go to board. I also have a NS Legacy I bought new and rode for about 2 days but didn't really like it. Having learned on a camber board I just can't get used to these hybrid decks. I'm probably gonna sell the Legacy and maybe pick up a Slayblade, Arbor Roundhouse CX or Jones Aviator.
