I Have a 2006/07 burton supoer model 63 that i used to use when I lived on east coast. I outgrew the board (foot size, size 12) and stopped using it due to about 1.5in boot overhand. I kept the board and have since moved near summit count CO. I like the board and since there is now A LOT more opportunity to ride pow wanted to see what opinions were regarding the overhand issue. Besides minor drag, would the overhand really affect performance that much in deeper snow?

I realize the title says overhand, not overhang. I couldn't go back and edit this.

inch and a half is quite a bit, those boards had some taper too so its worse on the back foot. It wouldnt suck for cruising powder, but if you have to ride anything steep, or traverse to get to the powder it will get in the way. Just ride it and find out. Some bindings sit you higher off the board which would help, or a boot with a smaller footprint.

Size 12 = You need a wide board.

Post a photo of your boots strapped into the board showing how much overhang you have. You might be fine on that board but we can't tell without seeing it.
