They seemed normal to me. I didn't mount them on a board so can't say for sure.

While I love the boots, I don't think the Vans Infuse are that reduced at all. This could be because of my size (10.5 US) - not sure. My 10.5 ion wides definitely had a smaller footprint than my vans. I think the ions had a bit more bevel on the toes and heels as well. Ion Wide was a bulkier boot in the ankle area though.

Not sure how long ago this post started but I have K2 maysis wide. Basically they’re ok not great. I am in a smaller town so it’s really hard for me to get a good sizing as I don’t complete trust myself. I have a 10 wide but guessing I should go a half size smaller with the right fitting boot. My feet still hurt at times though width wise . It’s beyond frustrating as I am an advanced/expert boarder and am constantly dealing with boots. I’d spend a grand if it meant my feet wouldn’t hurt. I’m making a trip this summer to have evo fit my feet. I know 32’s make good boots in a wide too. Hoping I get a good fit one of these seasons.

Thanks! I’ve only compared boots in size 13 and found the Infuse more reduced than Burton SLX for example. I’ve not owned the Ions so I can’t comment on those. I guess I’ll just have to try the Libertines for myself to see :)

I have a pair of those. They aren't wide at all.

I saw that RIDE lasso wide are also EE would those fit in a 9.5?
I have a size 10 EEEE/EEE foot and the ride lasso pro wide's fit me extremely well in size 10 boot (running shoes are 10.5/11). when I bought them, the shop heat molded them and added padding to my outer toe box area to pack out more space and it worked amazingly. I would definitely recommend trying these on if you can.

10.5 wide is a tough place to be (my size too). I think you'd be good with the large bindings. 32s are known for being bulky and a wide boot only adds to it. My 10.5 Burton Ion Wides are snug in a lot of L bindings. Mine are fairly blown out at the ankles but I still think L would be the place to start.

How many days have you gotten out of your Ion wides and how many more do you think you'll get? Also with your Ions do you strap your bindings above your toes or at the tips of them?

I'm a bit confused about all these talks of 'footprint reduction', when people end up comparing boots from different manufactures based on the US shoe size. Surely you have to compare the boots based on the needed mondo size and then discuss if they are actually any shorter (e.g. 32 TM-2 vs Burton, their mondo to US shoe size conversions are not the same)? :) Not to mention that if you try and cram your foot into a boot that's not wide enough, you'll end up with bigger boot, for the wrong reasons.

Taking that into account I'd speculate the differences can be marginal (e.g. why would you make a shell that's extra thick, as in an excessive 5mm of material)?

Ended up getting rid of them before they were totally dead but IMO the shell got distorted way too quick (~25 days or so?). They also just did not fit my feet well. They have some width up front but seem better for a low-volume foot.

I wish I had the 32 size 10 TM-2 wides I sold to send a picture of both those and the size 10 Ride Lasso Pro Wides together...there is a massive difference, which mostly affects the binding set-up...

So I just thought I'd come here after trying on a few boots to share what i've found. The ThirtyTwo Wide is a very similar fit in width to the Salomon dialogue wide. I'm going to guess they are EE although I have no confirmation on that. I am a 27.5 Mondo but a little larger with socks so 9.5-10 fit me depending on brand. The size 10 in a Thirty Two wide boot left more room up front than the Salomon wide so if I was looking to buy thirty two wide boots I would try on both sizes I'm between before making a decision. If I can't try on two sizes I'd go with my mondo point size. For me it was the 9.5. The Salomon wide are a great fit but lack durability which I know from owning them twice. The outer shells is soft enough to bend which allows for the threads to come undone rather quickly just above your toe box. The first pair lasted 40 days before the threads came undone and the second pair started to come undone day 2.

Lastly I tried on the Vans infuse which isn't a wide boot and found those are perfectly wide enough for my EE 27.5 mondo point feet in a size 10. My toes reached just as far as they do in the Salomon wide 10s and were a little less tight than the 32 9.5 Wide boots. As for the width, the Vans were just as good as both the Salomon wides and the 32 wides. I'm going with the vans infuse in a 10 most likely but have ordered a 9.5 to try on as well to confirm that it's not just as good a fit or better. Hope this helps someone as I've literally read 80 pages of this thread over different occasions trying to figure things out myself. The amount of info on 32 brand boots is kind of everywhere so hopefully this helps.

Salamon's are suppose to be up to E width, 32 TM-2 are suppose to be up to EEE width. Ride makes them for EE width.

But we do have people reporting they squeezed into boots that aren't suppose to be wide enough for their width, and seem happy about it. Not sure what to make of that, other than to guess that if you're at the lower part of your mondo point size, it might work (based on the presumption that your feet stretch out a bit more if they are pressed in boot that's slightly too narrow)?

I must just have an odd shaped foot lol clearly my measurements based on feel we’re widely off what the manufacturers recommend

I've heard that Vans had changed significantly since the last pair I tried, might have to give them another try.

Hello all.

I've been sorting through all of the information posted here and am grateful for all of it. I really appreciate all of the effort put into making sure people are getting sorted out in the boot department. I've been riding Nidecker Altai in size 12, but after reading through all of this I'm sure my boots are too big. It's also explained the foot pain and just the general feeling that something in my boots/bindings hasn't felt right. I'd really like some recommendations on what to go with. I'm completely open minded and am ready to pop on whatever seems to be the general consensus for me. Pictures are below.
This is what I have measured:
Right Foot: 27.5 cm 4 9/16 (115mm)
Left Foot: 27.8 cm 4 2/16 (104mm)

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. @Wiredsport if ya don't mind. thanks in advance.
