So the board, bindings and boots I want to get here in aus cost about 2 grand. Id love to get it shipped from the states, which is possible for the board but not the bindings and boots because apparently they wont ship burton and forum overseas. They wont even ship it to my friend in canada so he can post it to me here. (what kind of rule is that anyway canada and america are on the same piece of land why does it matter!) Any ideas of how to get around the annoying postage problems? flying to the us, buying the stuff and taking it home would probably actually be cheaper than buying it here! Any ideas?

Livelife,

Just been through the same issues with SurftheEarth. I had the free ship to a friend in Texas and he posted them to me. Now got as nice Burton jacket on the way as well.

And for the record, Canada and the USA are two different coutries, it has nothing to do with being the same land mass, it is to do with international trade regulations.

A couple days ago I tried to ship some burton pants and jacket to Australia, total weighing 7pounds. Both Fedex and UPS were both going to charge me 200 USD..so if you are going to buy from the US be ready for a ridiculous shipping fee, mine was just for some outerwear. I agree though, try to buy from Sierra Snowboard they have discounted shipping

I just bought a board for my wife from Sierra and delivery for that is $48 US. I think my brother in law picked up some jacket, pants, goggles and the shipping on that was slightly less.
