Hey everyone,

I'm not able to ride this year because I'm abroad..I guess that is the best way to put it--So that being said, my questions is: Are the Flux dmcc lights a very suitable binding for the TRS? I've ridden Union forces for the past four seasons and loved them...at first, but then I would notice the toe cup slipping or even coming undone/loosen a lot.

I sold my previous boards (t. rice pro / skate banana), both were excellent, I really enjoyed the flexibility of the banana, but obviously it wasn't as powerful as the t. rice when it came to shredding pow.

I've been reading as much as I possibly can about the products this season unleashed and i've been most impressed and anxious to try the Flux dmcc lights.

This might weigh in on your opinion, I picked up a pair of DC Status' for a pretty great price... I'm also anxious to try out how that boot performs, it will be the stiffest boot i've ever worn. I am a tad nervous though because I've heard that DCs run small and I ordered the same size as I wear casually which is 11.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Theyre a bit on the softer side probably comparable to the 390s. If you're looking at park and all Mt freestyle they're a good match. If you're looking for a stiffer more responsive binding than the sf45 and dmcc are what you want to look at from flux

Great, great. I am looking at more all mountain freestyle for sure. The information i've read on the TRS is that board has a 5 flex rating for a 154, which is what i've probably end up getting (i'm 6'0/170, but like the 153/4 over say a 157)

That being said, would the TRS still be to stiff for the flux bindings? If so, do you have a better recommend? I am ultra passionate towards lib tech, but I don't want to drop the money and have the wrong combination of gear. Thanks!

The lights are a good binding and sound like they will fit your riding style. If you want canting you'll need to wait until next year, or go with something like the Rome 390s. I'm using Flux on my park board and have been really happy with them, I almost bought the sf45s this year as well, but ended up with the Targa as I wanted to try out canting (which flux is adding for next year).

There are a lot of bindings you can look at for what you're doing i.e. 390, cartel, sl, phantoms, dmcc lights etc etc. If you like the DMCC light I would go with those unless you want canting, or find another option better looking.

That being said Flux has started to become active on the forum here and appears to be doing a really good job responding to user issues. Rome, Union and Burton have been doing this as well.

I ride Flux DMCC lights on my Capita DOA which I use as my all mountain freestyle board and I love them. Ridiculously light weight and the most comfy straps tot and ankle I have ridden. Not that I have ridden a ton, but I love them. I am quickly becoming a Flux fanboi as I love the bindings and Flux on here aka Ladyflinstone has been equally awesome. I be picking another pair of flux next year, not sure which yet, but either a softer pair for the DoA or a stiffer pair for the Charlie.

thank you for the help! i'll look into the DoA^

I might still try them on a TRS though, the 2014 graphics look freaking awesome.

if you don't mind me asking atreyu, what kind of boots have you tried with that particular setup?

I have the t.rice dc status' (waiting for me when I get home, never worn)
thirtytwo ultralights 11/12
burton rulers 2010/11

Hmmm,
I'm 5'11", 175 lbs., riding 2012 DC Status boots on either my TRice Pro HP 157 or Banana Magic 157.
Sound like someone you know?

I bought a TRS 157 this week to potentially replace the Banana Magic (yes, something of a Mervin fanboy myself).
I'm trying it out this week in Banff/LL along with my TRice.
I"ll be using my 2012 Cartels on both boards first, then switching to a new pair of NOW IPOs on both boards to see how those bindings ride.

I'll try to remember to post my thoughts on this stuff after I've ridden them back-to-back.

Feel free to remind me if I don't post.:dizzy:

please let me know how you liked the TRS, it supposedly has a 5 of 10 flex rating (10 being the stiffest), so i'm dying to here how it felt compared to your t.rice (i have one also), that is why i was like hell yeah i could throw the dmcc lights on the trs. i looked at the cartels, and seriously almost bought them...

lastly,
is canter seriously that "must have"? up until this year pretty much i never heard of bindings having it. my knees don't really bug me when riding so i dunno; however, if it increases pop/performance i'd be all for it. that is one thing i didn't like with the t.rice was it wasn't that poppy, at least for me.

thanks for the help, i'm dying to hear how you like it.

i ordered the fluxx dmcc lights so i'm going to try them on the trs regardless. if it's botch then i'll just throw them on a park board--no biggie.
