Not many boards built in the US can carve & float like this one. The European design & build is much stiffer than anything except Alpine Carving Race boards.
I purchased a 02-03 model (in 2006) & it still rides like a brand new board with over 400 days on it. I also ride 3 Lib Tech 198 cm Doughboys from the early 1990's & these boards are much softer & fun in powder but don't hold an edge as well or bust through crud conditions like the Tanker. It's certainly a Big Mountain Carver but I enjoy riding it in all conditions. Don't be afraid to GO BIG!
