i am moving from minnesota where i spend 90% in the park with my arbor westmark camber to northern neveda. I am going to be probably 80% all mountain at heavenly and northstar.

i am therefore thinking about either the coda or element. what you think? i am not really an arbor fan boy...but don't too much about other brands...everyone has such a broad product line.

yeah, exactly. i was in the park in minnesota primarily cause the runs were so boring and short otherwise. admittedly, i got some extreme sport blood in the veins...so yeah, i probably still going to ride park a little. but so pleased to be moving to northern nevada in a couple weeks. thinking i need something different...to optimize the experience. with epic pass will be riding primarily heavenly and northstar.

I am too old to mess with the park but when I was younger living in Seattle area, I discovered I preferred backcountry jumps and drops to anything in the park. The powder, lack of people, peace and quite....just spoke to me. I'm definitely not the guy to ask about park stuff. You will definitely have deeper snow and stepper terrain. I'd look into something that can handle freestyle and steeps. I kinda went down an Arbor demo program this year (where I buy a bunch of boards and try them out) but decided to go a different direction. Personally I'd look at something with some camber for edge hold, a little bit of setback, directional twin maybe? If you are super duper park guy riding switch all the time, butters, jibs, etc I would think that would come into play with your decision. I'm definitely not the guy to ask about park stuff. Things I have ridden this last year having just returned to the west coast myself that would fit the bill - Ejack, Dynamo, Jones Mountain Twin. This year I am giving the YES Standard UINC a whirl and am honestly really jazzed about it. Has slam back inserts for deep days, big fat nose, medium flex, some edge tech for ice. Is a twin but, my understanding has a directional flex. Maybe? That detail escapes me. This is sort of what I am after too....freeride meets freestyle. Capita DOA, Capita Mega Mercury,GNU Riders Choice C3, there are lots and I know just a little - someone will certainly chime in.

What about either bateleon goliath or bateleon evil twin? How would those compare with my arbor westmark camber. I think both goliath and evil twin are camber. But would they be a bit stiffer? If not it would be a bust. But bateleon shows them rated very high in both park, pow, and resort....

As you're going from park hills to big mountains, I'd recommend something like a directional twin, or an all mountain twin and a powder board / groomer carver if your budget allows.

Check out the Amplid Paradigma if you can only have one board.

the research continues and i don't really see a way to pick between the following possibilities...all of which probably would work fine. only way to pick might be to see if something used comes up cheap...otherwise it is just random picking and spending $500-600, which is quite irritating. all of the below i would pick in camber based version...

i currently ride 150, and might size up to 151-154...just cause it might help on a random powder day...

bataleon goliath
arbor coda
burton custom
capita doa
rome stale crewzer
