Heading to Tuckerman's once the lifts stop running around here. Can't get into skating/surfing, just not the same. Not a big beach goer, usually up my weight lifting in the summer, but will definitely be at Tuck's as long as I have time for the trip. Should hold snow till August. Skipping all the powerlifting meets, but I just do it for personal accomplishment these days. Long live the SNOW!

we close Apr 7 so the griz can come out of their dens unmolested...stilll gonna be tons of snow to hike for...been eyeing this face, just near the resort, all winter...

when the Going to the Sun road in Glacier Park opens, we can go hike for runs on Logan Pass...that will be mid June or July sometime

and, skating season has already begun, thanks to some industrious shovelers, of which i am one!

I just realized my mountain is closing on the 7th. My mountain usually closes around the 14th. Even Breck will close on the 14th. No 420 at Breck this year.

The snow has been pretty good lately and it seems weird it's almost over. It's like the season just started. There is another nearby mountain that normally closes in early June. Last season they closed in April. The previous season they were open 4 days a week the entire month of June and were open on the 4th of July. I hope April is snowy cause the snow pack aint real good.

I usually have the entire month of April and May to ride. :cheeky4:

Last two years I rode until Abasin closed for the season and I plan on riding out this season all way to the end this year again. ...Then back at it again next October.

I love having a few months left to go when everyone is complaining that their seasons are just about over. :D

This is the last weekend at my local mountain. Waterville closes next weekend and it looks like Loon is shooting for April 21st.

Now I have to decide if I want to spend the cash chasing snow or bank it towards new gear for next year.

Unless you have a crap setup I'd say go get more snow now. That's not even comparable, though - a new setup will be likely much less than hitting Whistler for even a few days.

I am pretty stoked to buy new gear but not quite as much as actually having a fun day on the slopes.

The PNW cascades got pounded for a week straight and got over 8' of snow. Last Saturday was the best day for blue bird and Im hoping the slopes stay open for a little bit longer than mid april  (praying)

Love this sport!!!

I think I'm going to get out one more time, maybe Loon. It sucks to think about after having such a great weekend.

I'm going to take advantage of a sale or two, grab some new gear and tuck it away for next year.

Snowed on and off all day at Belleayre in the Cats today, open for another 3 weeks according to the staff. Fuck last year, had a late start, but it just seems to keep snowing this year :)

I'm riding Kirkwood Sunday!

They had a dump last week and they keep getting dustings without real accumulation. But they say the base is still reasonable. Hoping we can get one more weekend after that at Tahoe. Even if it not great...I'll take it.
