Reading the title I expected something weird, but for sure not real kangaroos in real snow
Great shot! Enhancing the exotic image I have of oz.

You should title that last shot "the perfect commute".

In a perfect world thats how we would all use the roads to get to work.

Me too haha!

Thats pretty badass; where abouts in Oz is that?
This is a place called Island Bend which is the closest place you are allowed to camp to the snow fields in NSW, roughly 5 hours south of Sydney. You only get a few "core" snow life types camping there in winter, I have become a regular over the last few years and met some great people.

You get lots of kangaroos, wallabies and wombats hanging around which is cool.

The season is just kicking off here and i will be doing some backcountry adventures later on which I will post up in this thread.

I was quite fun I must say. I was wearing my apres boots too so very sloppy in my bindings but it still worked in the soft snow, I wouldnt like to try it on hardpack!

In the distance you can see carruthers peak, one of my favourite spots in the oz back country, its only short but its steep enough to keep your adrenaline flowing.
