Ok, this is a really stupid question but I need to ask it. I'd rather look like a dumbass here asking it then be clueless on the hill.

Earlier this year in January I skied in Kitzbuhel and took the Hahnenkammbahn up. They got slots for your skies on the outside, and seats 6 inside. My question is, I'll most likely go there again next year and wondering where the hell would I put my snowboard? I've only ever seen slots for skies but not boards.

If there are no slots outside the gondolas (the case with older ones) you take the board inside (between the knees). No prob with the big 6 place gondolas, they are high enough so also longer boards fit into, but can be struggling if you got rather long boards and antike tiny 4 place gondolas with a pole in the middle of the cabin :D bit of a tetris game then. Hubbys 164 only fit diagonally; there its 2 persons + 2 boards = full.

I went the weekend, and will most likely again, of the big Hahnenkamm World Cup race cause my friend is racing in it and the lift was packed, so many people. It was like a military operation getting everyone up the hill, into the gondolas. Like I said only remember slots for skis and looking at pictures online don't see anything different either but I remember seeing boarders riding away from the main lift so theres gotta be a way. I have a 162 TRS so this will be interesting.

There is no such thing as a stupid question if you need to know something... Credit to you for asking...

:giggle:

I think people get it wrong by asking questions that are obvious and or already answered and are just to lazy to search for the answer, that is when people deserve and do get flamed... ;)
