Had a chance to go to a local rail jam from a new facility that just opened for skiers and snowboarders all shot with the Tokina 11-16 and single yn568ex into a reflector umbrella..

Ya the lighting looks great but you're missing context. Try and convey a sense of where the rider is coming from and where he's going otherwise he's just frozen in the air.

Those Yongnuo flashes are great aren't they? I just picked up a couple YN560II's and they feel every bit as good as my 430ExII's.

look really crispy and pro, but i would back it up about 20ft next time! the inverted one is the best imo, nice
Ya I did before I took the flash out but the venue was really badly lite and the 7d just isn't great at Iso 3200-6400... Plus this was the first time being there.. Now that I know how it's all setup I have some plans for next time

I will do that for next time... This time around I just wanted some in your face shots with a lot of detail on the rider and his board.... And ya the yongnuo flashes are great I have a pair of 568ex's and love them they are almost as powerful as 580exII.. I use the yongnuo 622 transceivers to do all the firing and manual adjustments thru my camera.... Works great...
