Hello Snowboarders,

I question myself why hang on to a board that old ?
Every trip I go for , my Burton T6 2008 is in my Bag.
Love it for bombing down groomers or morning carving. The edgehold on this board is phenomenal imho, the power you feel in every turn is super fun.
Yes, you have to have focus , otherwise it kills you :) but still , I’ll take it out on so many groomer days.. -it’s still „the best“-

Am I stupid or just caught by the romantic memory that this board was the first one I saw in a shop back 15 years ago, wanting it badly until the shop owner told me it’s not for beginners 😂😂👍🏻

I have a bunch of boards to choose from..
So why the T6 never gets old to me ?
Please let me know how you think about the board if you know it,
Anybody out there having this thing with this or another deck maybe ?
Do you completely disagree , pls let me know why the T6 should go into annuity..

🙏

I mentionned a few times how much I loved my 2004. I still wonder how it would compare to todays standards though, it was great at the time, but lots of things have changed. Boards pretty much ride themselves these days… !

Wasn't the T6 back then an over done board with the best materials which weren't that much used in the confections of board at that time by the industry?

My 2007 Ride Prophet with its stiff-as-a-plank flex, twitchy/hooky/catchy sidecut, and 1.6cm of pure camber is still the most fun carving on groomers I've ever had. Slow down and it's no fun but bombing with it is pure joy. I'm going to keep riding it forever just to see how long it takes to clap out, even if I do eventually buy into a newer tech carving board.

2nd best materials from Burton back then. The vapor was the best materials from Burton.

The t6 used an aluminum honeycomb core, which was great for weight and the camber was great for edge hold The rubber pads were also great for dampening and gripped the boots for skating off the lift. The T6 was so smooth over choppy terrain.

Pretty sure the T6 is the forefather of the CX.
I still window shop old Vapors on eBay. Rented one for a day way back when and it still sticks in my mind. I think it was 700 new at the time which was quite a premium compared to normal prices.
The Burton Vapor is a brilliant board. Super expensive RRP in its days. I bought my sons '13 155 for $Au550 ($US368) and my '12 162W for $Au400 ($US268), both new.

Had the Burton vapor 2009 version. Really fun board that you could carve on and go really fast on. Jumping with it was great to. My dad had the t6 and t7. They felt similar to the vapor. Great boards honestly. Im really enjoying the Mega Merc, currently.

Was the T6 stiffer than the Vapor? I feel that the Vapor is like a Ferrari version of the Custom.

I will forever cherish my 2009 neversummer legacy that a family friend gifted to me brand new. I was waxing it this morning and that bitch still sliced me. Haven't ridden it yet this year but I got it in the quiver for stowe.
