I got the e-mail yesterday but didn't bother looking. They've been spamming me with so many 2022 and older coupons that didn't work on anything new that I ignored it. Looks like almost everything is already snatched up.

Well this coupon actually worked on this years stuff, even Burton which I didn't think would be the case. They still have a little bit left like DC Step Ons, and a decent amount of jackets/pants, but you are right a lot of stuff is sold out already. I know what you mean though, cause a lot of their coupons had a bunch of exclusions like you mentioned.

That's too bad. They've been around for as long as I've been snowboarding. I remember getting their catalogues in the mail in the 90s. They put out decent buyer's guides and other content on YouTube and they've helped me out a bunch. Best of luck to the team in the future.

The instructional Vids on fixing topsheet/base repair etc were useful instructional vids.

They have revolving liquidation gear I think.
last week they had some Capita and Jones boards and Union Bindings. Was tempted to pickup some Falcors $212 after tax… but didn’t need them.

Managed to snag an Antidote for cheap.

I don’t think I’ve seen their Salomon boards yet, so maybe theyll clear those out in coming weeks.

I scooped a $280 Telos Caldera, $300 Burton Straight Shooter Splitboard, and some $140 Burton Lexa BIndings for my wife. I'm getting ready to order a new jacket and midlayer as well, there's still some good stuff to pick though. I've scored some ridiculous deals on snowboards and wakesurf boards over the years from The House.

It sucks they're going out of business and those people are losing their jobs..

And there we have why they went out of business, but honestly if you don't have a splitboard and wanna try one now's the time. You're never going to be able to get a new split for under $200

I've preferred EVO myself for some time but occasionally buy from the house and other small shops. For one they are close to me but two the rewards program has been really good with evo. Anyone know why the house is going under?

The article clearly states sales were down over 7% last quarter. Honestly though it's a little hard to wrap my head around that knowing where the industry as a whole was at last quarter.

I can tell you manufacturing costs have skyrocketed and trying to full launch house brands during the most expensive increase in manufacturing costs had to be tough. Why they thought overnight they should overnight launch a house brand that contained a full line of boards, apparel and gear and even included splitboards is a bit of a puzzler. The cost of that alone would have been astronomical. It's the kind of move where if it doesn't instantly succeed it will wreck the entire company. I obviously don't have Chamonix sales figures though so cant say for sure how much that played a role.

Looks like everything worth picking up will be gone for sure by the end of the weekend, if not sooner. The only thing I am waiting for is the DC step ons to go on sale for 20-30% off on top of the extra 40% off. Pretty much everything else has already been reduced that I have noticed.

I don't think their ability to compete with EVO pricing was the issue. The issue was more stupidity on account of ownership (Camping World).
