First turns

Last weekend it snowed 40 inches at Mt. Bachelor. Not only was it surreal to have deep snow in October, but to make turns for the second time ever on my bday, I was stoked!

Tonight
Snow. Low around 28. South wind 10 to 17 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible.

Monday
Snow showers, mainly before 4pm. High near 32. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible

For Monday we will be in normal midweek operation out of the White Salmon Base Area with chairs 3,4,5,6,7,8 .... We have fantastic snow coverage with some of the best opening week conditions we have ever seen!

In daily operation with a snow base of 60+ inches at Heather Meadows - the deepest base in the U.S.!

 It will be day 1, mid week, ridin by myself...despite straight from nightshift

Went out to Baker today and had a ton of fun despite being super rusty and managing to get turned around several times. A little icy in the morning but it was snowing all day. Ended up accidentally getting stuck in a little patch of ungroomed snow below a trail map sign and had a hell of a time getting out sinking past my knees for about a 10' stretch or so (I wasn't the only one to get stuck at least). Essentially no lift lines all day too.

I'll have to go back later in the season when I'm in better shape and not as rusty.

thats when you swim or paddle out...just lay down on your board like paddling a surf board ... but its really a matter of choosing your lines wisely, having enough slope and enough speed and don't biff or its swimming time.

I was trying to get a look at the trail sign cause I was super confused and didn't realize what I was getting myself into until it was too late. Oops.

Aaaaa, that's awesome! Thanks for this, made me leave the office with a wide grin (and a well meant swear on the lips)
Hope it'll be equally good in March! Over here, winter hasn't startet yet . No snow in sight.

Dude, coming back to work after early season pow days is brutal. Rode Fri through Monday morning and drove to San Francisco last night, worked all day today 8
