Too big bindings for boots?

466 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Nivek
I think my boots (vans hi-st) are too big so have ordered burton 1 size smaller to see how they fit. I've also put them on my bindings (union strata) and I think I need to go size down with bindings too. Am I correct?

It honestly looks okay to me at least from the side view. Is there a lot of space between the boots and the binding laterally? To much space will cause the boots to rock too much.

What is your boot size and what is your binding size?
Union strata size Large. Vans Hi-St UK 9.5, US10.5.
Burton's are 8.5 UK.
Feet: mondo 27.5 cm +/- 2-3mm depending on foot, quite wide.
Burton UK 8.5 is US 9.5 so the size medium binding will fit better. But honestly, you will probably be fine riding this and you can buy the correct size when you need a new binding. I am US 9 and I rode a large Burton Cartel for the first season and It was totally fine. If you have money to spend get a medium one, but the large size one can definitely get the job done.
