video of Opening day 2013-2014 Snowboard season at Arapahoe Basin with "Nate Dogggg"

Nate Dogggg First Chair Arapahoe Basin Opening Day 2013-2014 - YouTube

Nate Dogggg claimed his 18th consecutive first chair at opening day today at Abasin! A 2.5 day wait in line to get 1st chair!

"The Legend at the Legend"

Night in line number one:
On friday morning October 11th. Arapahoe Basin announced via social media that they would open on Sunday 10/13/13 Chad Otterstrom joined Nate Doggg at about 1pm on the 11th at the base of the resort, and the wait for first chair of the 2013-2014 season officially began!

I ( Trailer Tom) joined Chad and Nate at 10:45pm on Friday October 11th 2013. Friday night Chad slept on the 4man super quad chair lift under the snowguns. It snowed lightly until about 1am (early Saturday morning) but then the stars came out and the weather warmed up a bit.

Saturday October 12th was a beautiful day in summit county. Sunny, warm, and many great friends stopped by to wish us well. We spent the day hanging on "the beach" eating my mom's famous home made cookies, and posting as much stuff as possible to our various social media pages.

My girlfriend Stephara stopped by around noon and hung out, took pictures and shot some video of our 1st chair crew.
The cat drivers pushed snow down to the base of the hill and the chair lift and we waited, and waited, and waited some more.

Lots of folks stopped by to take pictures and check out what was going on.
At sunset, we did a live video feed from the base of the hill near the chairlift that was to open in the morning at 8:30am sharp.

Night number two:

Met up with Bob Aubry (Bobry) and a crew of awesome Vail shredders that joined us for first chair festivities.

Snowboarders from Vail held down their spot on 2nd and 3rd chair, Kameron Weakley, Andrew Wright, Kayla Wittich, and Cesar Hermosillo, Michelle Irene, (just to name a few)were among this crew that rocked "Team Nate Dogggg 1st Chair" T-Shirts, and waited in line with us for about the final 12 hours until the resort opened for business.

More hanging out, sharing stores of past first chair adventures, and lots of Facebook posting took place.
Nate Dogggg crawled inside his sleeping bag on the deck if the chairlift and the wait continued.
A car would arrive in the parking lot at the rate if about 1.5 per hour between 8pm and 11pm with anxious snow shredders awaiting their chance to hit the slopes once more.

The chair opened promptly at 8:30am and the snowboarders that were on first chair were as follows: Nate Dogggg, Trailer Tom, Robert Miles Aubrey II (aka Bobry) and Chad Otterstrom (aka Nickademous Mantooth)

Weather was great, warm compared to years past, snow was actually soft and the run had great coverage.

Abasin up in a few jib boxes and rails that were fun to mess around on.

Overall a great time!

Different strokes... I think it's cool that they're so committed. No way in hell I'd do it though. :D

Bro. He's sitting outside in the damn snow for 4 days. What the hell do you expect him to do? LOL
Yeah, every time I go camping I usually document it via facebook status updates.

"Just started a fire, it's fucking cold."

"I think I hear a bear."

"Cool sunrise."

"Wish I had 4g up here, this 3g is bullshit. Can't even stream my damn netflix on my iPad."
