Man, I broke my wrist much like that riding road bikes. It threw a wrench in my professional drumming career for sure. It took two years to get back on the road at a level close to what I'd been at. I've broken over 40 bones, and plates in my wrist took the most PT out of everything. It still hurts here and there every day. Here's wishing you get an easier go. I can say it started feeling much better after being stabilized by surgery. Hit that PT hard every day or you'll have mobility issues. There's like 15 joints in your wrist, and you're gonna have to unlock each one of them if you wanna get back to "normal."
this is what shocked me 2 years to get to 95% not sure it will ever be 100

Plates near any complicated joints like the wrist is going to affect the movement of the joint.
Many people actually remove the hardware once the bone is healed to allow better movement of the joint.

They put a screw in my scaphoid, never really considered having it removed, for me tendons and nerves are the biggest issue at this point
