Yeah I'm going in for surgery on Thursday. Bones are fractured in multiple places so I need some titanium plates in there.
I broke mine in 2 places but somehow holding it and riding down to the ER popped it in place. The doc didn't even believe I broke it until they took an xray.
2 months in a cast and everything healed up nicely.

That's for the best, considering. My fracture was deemed clean enough to not need surgery, only to be declared a malunion after the cast came off. It needed corrective surgery, plates, the whole nine yards. That took most of last year, accompanied by the legal ménage à trois with my lawyer, insurance, and the hospital. This season I got mobility and strength back to where I am snowboarding again, albeit with a wrist guard under the glove. Still feel a sharp zing sometimes, like when I inadvertently see other people's bent wrists...

Best of luck with the surgery and recovery, drbionicblast.
I broke a collarbone many years ago and it didn't quite heal how it's supposed to be. I wonder if they can correct it.
My goal is to become bionic man.
