Is it too early? Am I allowed to start these?

Been having dreams of snow lately. Apparently Rossland BC snowed 3 overnight in the past week. Whistler/Blackcomb has snowed at peak.

Epic Pass price got jacked up to $939 USD, unfortunately. Still bit the bullet.

Yup, it's happening. Lots of snow at higher elevations and interior BC already.

Yo where tf is WB's marketing? I'm craving myself some Magnetic 2 or smth
It's been a slow season in terms of videos and stuff. Haven't seen a lot of big name videos coming out. Other than Manboys, and even they I think are no longer 'sponsored' by Whistler. I think they were last yr., so maybe some marketing budgets are getting cut...

Whistler has announced opening day as Nov 28th. I mean, this is good, but according to the webcams they have diddly for snow. That's either supreme confidence or a massive bluff.

With the weather lately, I’m not expecting any openings to be until mid-December for the Cascades. Maybe slightly earlier in B.C.

It's definitely looking like it although we do have the luxury of having one storm being able to bring us from bare ground to open so Im still hoping. Big weather pattern changes are starting breaking us out of the dry spell we'd been in so that's a start.

Hello together!

I'm Florian, a student of the University of Konstanz (sports science) but above all a snowboarder. As a part of my bachelor thesis I deal with risk behavior and risk taking of snowboarders in various performance classes. In order to obtain the most accurate relationships between e.g. risk taking behaviour and injury susceptibility I need information from as many snowboarders as possible to determine. I therefore ask you to participate in this study.

What are your benefits in taking part?

After completing the study, I'll explain the psychological variables I've measured and give you feedback on your personal values. So there is a good opportunity to learn something about sports psychology research and about yourself and to support me in my research project. (In addition, the questionnaire includes an interactive game, so do not just answer questions)

It takes about 10 - 15 minutes, depending on the reading speed

Did anyone brave opening weekend at Whistler? How's it looking?
I went opening day.

Was good and fun. It's looking pretty bad, but the ride is better than it looks... I didn't go today because I had some stuff to do. Might go tomorrow...

Right on, I think I'm going to head up on Monday or Tuesday for my first day. I'll make sure to bring the rock board. Was it pretty busy with American Thanksgiving?
