Thu was awesome, had some seriously deep pow and sweet powder turns once they opened Harmony and all the way til the end of the day...

Fri was a shit-show, and I may have contributed to it as I was riding with my 5 y/o who was pizza and french-frying the hell out of them groomers. And me falling-leafing and switch riding to keep him in my sights :D That said, he never once made for any of the lifts to stop. Great success. But my calves are dead and everything hurts.

Shane's photo up there ^^ tells the story of today (Fri). The lineup at main Village gondola was about the same.

Riding Sat again, but I don't have much hope as it's likely going to be incredibly busy and it was raining at the base all day.

Monday was a fun day, with much smaller lift lines. I managed to be the first one down the garbonzo tram line despite a slightly late start. One of my favourites when the snow line is low.
Headed over to Blackcomb to find Glacier and Spankys open! I went for the far skiers right entrance into Sapphire Bowl, bit of rock exposure on the bottom but otherwise nicely filled in! Sapphire Bowl was awesome. I don't think as many people go in Sapphire so I had fresh tracks the whole way.

I was cranking some side hits on the Ride out back to crystal and got bucked off the lip of one and went over the handlebars a bit. Bounced back up but reinjured my shoulder. Gonna see a doc today and see how bad it is. Hopefully just minor but we'll see. Conditions look absolutely epic up there today but I will be resting at least until the weekend.

ah ok. i was riding up garbo when someone was thigh deep while breaking trail. thought that might've been you or your buddies. hope your shoulder's better. doesn't look like much is going on in the forecast for the next week aside from freezing your testicles to the chair
Haha you never know! I was by myself but once I broke trail there were a few people behind me making their way in. Red pants white goggles?

Shoulder is feeling a lot better already. Just aggravated it I think/hope.

I actually have a snowboard road trip planned this coming week and am a little worried about the forecast haha. Going to hit Whistler Sunday and maybe Monday. Biggie Tuesday Wednesday then Revy Thursday - Saturday! The testicles are in for a cold week! Haha
If the shoulder holds through it all I'm happy!

Nice! The interior mountains (Revy, Biggie, Whitewater etc.) have been getting hammered with snow lately. Should be a good trip

Awesome, looking forward to it! Whistler was awesome on Sunday. Knee deep on Fraggle rock. They opened harmony which I didn't notice until the end of day but must have been Epic up there. Lines weren't too bad for a Sunday either

Big white and Revy were unreal! Pretty much 0 lines the whole trip besides when the Revy gondola broke down on Saturday. The snow was nice light powder and had fresh every day except Friday. The colder temps were pretty tolerable with a couple extra layers. 6 full days of snowboarding in a week is a new record for me! No injuries and shoulder feels great. Powder chair on Big White and a couple Revy hikes were the highlights. Lapping the stoke chair on Thursday was pretty epic too. Lucked out with powder days and sunny periods on both mountains.

Hey, has anyone tried out the Whistler Test Center up at the top of the Whistler Gondola? They charge $20 or $25 to let you demo skis/snowboards, but that's about all I know. Questions: Do they allow you to try multiple boards, or is it $25 per? Do they set up the board for you, or do they just hand you a board and some bindings and a screwdriver? What's the inventory like?

You get to try one board at a time, as many boards as you can as long as you can bring it back before 2. They can help set up the bindings if you like. No idea about inventory.
