Hello everybody. I am attempting to get on my school ski team as a snowboarder so that I can go snowboarding 3 times a week. The ski coach asked me if I used hard or soft plates, but I do not know what those are. I looked them up but could not get a straight answer, although it seemed to have something to do with bindings so thats why I put this thread here. Thanks in advance.

My Setup:
Board: Never Summer HDX
Bindings: Rome 390 Boss 2014
Boots: Ride Hi-Phys

He's probably asking you if you ride plate bindings (you don't).

Plate bindings are for hard boots, you likely ride soft boots. Is it a race team? If so I used to race in soft boots but that was in the EARLY 90's. Now you'd be left in the dust...
