So I stole this question from another thread.....but no one answered the question, because it was a bit off topic at the time. I'm jonesing (not sure if this is the correct spelling) for the snowboard season and thought this would be an interesting topic.

For me, it was my 1997 Burton Custom, with shite bindings and shite boots. I rode that all the way through college, at least 10+ years. It was beat to hell when I finally gave it up, but I didn't have a lot of money to replace it back in the day so it saw a good bit of wear and tear.

Some of my early days boards might have gotten a lot of days (probably >100), since as a kid I wouldn't wear them off as fast (and wouldn't care much if they were). But from what I can remember, I don't think any of my boards went further than 60 days—and often I should have retired them earlier. The base would always wear off near the edges.

My split is well over 50 and still going though, so we'll see.

Which size was it?

Still have my Nitro Naturals 164 -98. Not rideable due to camber issues.

Oldest board I am still riding is the 2001 Burton BMC which I got for 20 USD mint condition around winter 2019. Rode it for 3 months and didn't have much expectation for it at first because I thought it was cheap enough to be a rock board but now it's my main freeride bomber board replacing my 2012 NS Raptor and 2008 Custom X. I only ride this board and the Archetype for powder days.

Not sure why but this BMC rides way faster than newer stuff like my 2008 Custom X and 2014 Elan Vertigo. Have tons of confidence with this board and seriously a steal for its price.

Still have and ride a 2000/2001 Forum JP walker and a Atlantis Kevin Young, but not sure what year that one is from. Both have seen heavy use over the years. The Atlantis board is still a really Good ride, Forum - not so much..

Had the full set but now only 4 159s(Turtle) and 2 151s in different colorways. Still missing the light green turtle.

I was in HS, spent maybe 4 days on rental gear…fell in love with boarding… and saved up some $$$ to buy my first setup the following season.

Some shop guy, who I thought was super cool, and chatted with me about board tech and what’s good… sold me a Salomon Definition ’02 as my first beginners board.

It was bundled with Burton Moto Boots, and Burton Custom Bindings. I remember the boots were size 12… soft flappy sized 12 boats. (I’m 285 mondo, and get properly fitted size 10.5s nowadays).

Still keep the board around for nostalgia…and memories of how many times I face planted learning on that plank.

Helm of Sun Valley… never again. (Tbf, they probably have new people…)

I still ride a 2008 Nidecker Ultralight 163. Full camber, torsionally soft, great for most conditions... such a good ride with snap out of carves. Top 2 in my quiver that includes an Amplid Surfari 157, Rome Blur 159, and Salomon Dancehaul 152.

151 or maybe 152. It was way undersized for me. I bought it from a friend. The first board I learned on. To be honest I'm trying to think what the board looked like but I can't for the life of me remember what the color even was on it. Memories are weird like that.
