What to do with loose threads

One of my gloves has a couple loose threads. Normally when one of my shirts gets one I rip or cut it off but im sure theres a better way to deal with them so they dont cause even more problems and unraveling. Should i try to sew it back on?

burn them with a lighter, that usually stops them.
