I have to make an another video from a bigger resort with faster speeds, with also some tighter turns. Then it's easier to get into the right rhythm, get weightless between turns and also add some upper body movement. On the video there was actually only one carve that felt really good, and it was the last proper heel side carve at 1:05. I've been watching the Korua videos a lot and trying ride like Wolken...

I currently have the A-10's on my 156 Dart but I haven't tried it yet, we leave for Japan in 3 weeks. I did try them on my 159 K2 Manifest which is also pretty stiff and decided they would be great on the Dart.

Looks great.
I'm taking A8's for a spin with Dart/CustomX and will report how it went in a few weeks. By then snow situation should also improve on Balkans.
They are definitely more stiffer than the old burton P1's I initially planned to use on Dart, and also should be a good match for custom x, which now have Genesis est on it.

After 5 days on the CF, and 1 day with a good 20cm of fresh new snow, this board got me. The CF truly gives you the curiosity to explore the rest of what Korua offers, put thank god my wallet stop me LOL.

The more I ride it, the more easy it gets to take easily turns with it. It can be truly a smooth whip on the slopes.

It can be a quiver board but also, can be a one and only board which can do a lot.

In fresh snow, it floats pretty well and effortless. My patrollers collegues were surprise to see me go in the snow with it yesterday.

And doing reverse carve on it, wow.
Owning and riding the CF, I truly feel it unlocked a potential I had but was limited maybe by the Lib TRS (which is on sale right now) and the Burton One Hitter I own. The One hitter ain't a bad board, but I can't do on it what I can do on the Café Racer. I wouldn't say close but it will have it's limitations.

Plus, the CF is purely guiding me to freeriding and at some age, nearly 43, well my good old days of hitting kickers and doing 720 are long gone. I like where it's taking me and make me smile a lot.

Until the next time, best surprising board for me so far.

Guys, anyone experience ordering Korua stuff and ship it to Switzerland?

Keen to understand what implications are in terms of import tax and duties etc. Would probably save the German (EU) VAT but then have to pay fees and import tax in Switzerland but not sure how much that would be in total.

Finally got to ride the Pocket Rocket. I was going to buy it but @unsuspected beat me to it (luckily?). Rode it for a couple of hours in super wet fresh snow. Lots of it mess due to other skiers/boarders.

What can I say? It was scary one footing it. I kept scratching my head in the lift about how to react to it. Is it brilliant? Is it a contender for the Darwin Awards? Both?

The nose is a shovel, with edges just waiting to dig in, and when you put it on edge you hold your breath waiting for the sides of the nose to throw you. At least when it's not pristine groomers or deep deep snow. I wish they'd given it 5 cm of longer nose and rounded of the corners a bit to make it less lethal.

It was a workout getting the edge angle up. Easy if you wanted it properly on edge at a little bit of speed to put it into a carve. Just halfway there to some scarve or mellow carve was a chore.

This board is fun. I want one. Am I going to get one? Maybe not, but I really want one.

TLDR; Rider who is neither picky nor technically knowledgeable about snowboard gear rides and loves his new Korua Dart.

Had my new-to-me Dart (156) out at Mammoth the past 2 days (17th / 18th). Tits deep in new snow, and this thing was a dreamboat.

Never having ridden a "powder board" before (have always been a one-board guy)... Mind-blown.

The riding this thing opens up in powder (vs a twinish all-mountain freestyle type board) is worth so much more than the price of admission. Steeps, chutes, faces / bowls, trees, low-angle... had non-stop fun on this thing. Allows much more intentional (purposeful? soulfully-aggressive?) riding and weight distribution without sinking the nose... Might be in my head, but I don't think so. So much more fun, so much less rear leg fatigue.

Was plenty fun on groomers as well. Detuned, I found it easy to ride, held a nice edge, easy to turn (bindings were set at +24/+15). Makes you want to flow. It's like a really capable board that took a bong hit; a competent but also mellow personality that you want to hang out with to charge, chill, or party.

Having said that, the board felt relatively heavy to me, though I think the extra mass might be (?) in part responsible for what I felt was a pretty nice ride. Having so much of it out front took me for surprise on the first hit of the day. I will have to learn to adjust to that. Same goes for riding bumps.

Have never ridden any other powder boards (I don't know if they're all like this), but I'll be keeping this one, and expect to ride it more than I expected.

Anyhow, that's my non-technical, uneducated 2 cents. Two highbacks up!

P.S. Took forever to read through this thread. Almost 1500 posts? Come on now!

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a Bullet Train. Seems like Korua are about to discontinue the BT so was last chance to grab one of them.

production date seems to be in 2020. Do you see any issues with an “old“ board or should that be fine if it’s not been ridden?

keen to try the new CR plus in comparison…seems to have received an upgrade similar to the BT but a bit more approachable overall.

The mfg date shouldn’t be an issue. The board will be fine I’ve had way older boards out this winter that have been properly stored with no ill effect

I’ve also compared the specs on the Korua website with the ones printed on the description attached to the board.

does anyone know if Korua slightly changed the BT at some point? Seems the setback doesn’t match (30 vs 20mm) and neither does the stance width and reference stance (50-64 vs 49-61).

Description of the core also seems different, Poplar Light on the one I’ve received vs. „Bionic“ on the website.

It says "back soon" on the website.

Send them an email and ask. They're usually very good at responding to questions.

It's not impossible that they've changed the specs from one production to another. If they did, I suppose I must have the old one. Unless the stance width is an issue I'd not worry a lot about it.

Will probably do that yeah and see what they say.

I’ve spoken to them on the phone last week and that was the message. Apparently not decided yet but there seems to be a good chance it’s discontinued with the new CR+

I'm not surprised if they do discontinue it. It felt like very much a niche board to begin with. Maybe the Cafe Racer plus makes more sense and a much easier sell to regular riders. For me, the Pencil plus makes more sense than the Cafe Racer plus.

I don't think I'll ever get rid of my Bullet Train, mostly because it's such an idiot board to own.

Having a day off today, I decided to go solo at a ski resort I never went even if it's pretty close to where I live (40 minutes).
I had so much the habit to ride while patrolling mostly every weekend since winter 2016-17, I don't think since I've had a full day just for me, alone, no obligation(my Kids or patrolling).

Feel so good to rip alone with the Café Racer and charge hard.

Now it says sold out on the Korua website btw…love the board though. Glad I got one as long as they are still around. So if anyone is debating to get a BT I’d act quickly 😂

I decided to give my TF54 another ago, didn't like it too much the first few times. Need some help adjusting the stance, maybe this time it will be better :)

I am 175cm, 75kg, size 42 boots, riding medium Katana bindings. I usually ride +21 -9, with 54cm width.
Translation for American friends: 5.7, 165 pounds, size 9 boots, +21 -9 with ~21.5 inch width.

I tried the same on the TF, but it just didn't feel as good as on my Nitro Dropout. Any tips on how to adjust it?
