Will I Notice a Difference?

Hey, my first board ever was a crappy Firefly that I used for a season or two until I got my older brothers old 5150 Path that I have used for 2 seasons and that I still use. I was just wondering if I would notice a difference if I got a new board like a GNU Carbon Credit BTX, because all I hear about 5150 is how bad they are. I don't really notice how bad it is but that just may be because I've never used a better board.

If you are past the linking turn stage and kind of good, yeah you'll start noticing differences between boards. Depends on what you do.

Well yeah I just learned 360s so I'd say I'm kind of good haha.
I want to start getting into park riding but still be able to go on black diamonds and stuff.

Yes, you'll notice a difference. I went from crappy to upscale a few years back and the difference was significant.

Is the difference actually that big? Wow. I've only ridden camber so would a reverse camber make even more of a difference? And would it be a positive one?

Rocker, Hybrid camber and camber all ride very different. But only you can answer what you'll like best. Whats perfect for one person is hated by another.

Do you have the option to demo or trade decks with friends? You won't know till you ride them.

I can almost promise you that you won't like rocker boards. Hybrid boards well :dunno: thats up to you.

That's my review of the Heritage just after I got it. I'd been riding a Morrow Lithium and a Ride Havoc up to that point. Both are lower-end camber extruded base boards. The switch to the Heritage was an eye-opener. I don't know how much of it was switching to a hybrid-rocker board and how much was going to a higher-end board.

Others will point out that rider > board. And that's true to a large extent. A really good rider can ride a 2x6 and put the likes of me to shame. But for us intermediate riders, an unsuitable board can make things more difficult that they need to be.
