Replacement bindings suggestions

Im actually posting for my brother who had his Rome Uniteds crack in half on only their second sesh. And when I say crack I dont mean like the highback detached from the baseplate, I mean the front half of the baseplate was still attached under the 4x4 disc and the back half of the baseplate/highback was in his hand. We were riding Blue Mt in the Poconos, pretty solid pack with a dece mix of ice and temps in the low 20s I'd say.

Kinda funny looking back cuz him and his buddy swear by this local board shop and were grilling me cuz I did all my homework online, spent hours checking forums like this one and ordered online. Well I guess the "expert tech" from the board shop who recommended the Uniteds dropped the ball....ANYWAY...

Anybody got any suggestions for replacements? I suggested the Flux Emblems I ride but the young lads are still skeptical of my methods. So maybe if I bring a couple of solid pairs to his attention he'll listen up. Like I said we ride Blue Mt about once a week and all materials are in play as long as they are gonna hold up in those conditions. He dropped 150 on the Uniteds and would bump it to around 2 hundo to avoid this kinda nonsense from happening again.

Thanks guys for anything ya got.

The Rome Uniteds got recalled on January the 3rd. I took mine back to the shop (after they broke on the 4th day...) and after they called Rome up I got store credit back and picked up some Ride EX's for the same price. Haven't tried those yet, so I can't really comment.

If you haven't yet, give Rome a call, or at least point it out to the dealer.

Edit: Reason I picked out the EX's were because they're made of metal... :p
