I'm 5'6", 125 lbs. and I ride a 151 and 156 just fine. The 156 is my all-mountain board. My perfect size for parks would probably be 145-148, but I'm doing just fine. I think you'll be fine.

im 5'7 170, i ride a capita stairmaster extreme 152 and i can take it full speed anywhere, i was more comfortable bombing with my 154 which was also considerably stiffer, but the 152 is much more maneuverable yet still possible to bomb, ideally though i would use the 154 for the best combo of speed and maneuverable. the 152 is my park/main board now.

 

In summary, yes.

 

Yes you can ride it. Think you might be a bit better off with a slightly larger board if you do not hit the parks though. But ultimately it is your personal preference.

 

if you dont do any park i would go abit bigger, but never the less youll be ok on a 152..

 

If you don't do any park, I would try to get a longer board. You CAN ride a 153.. but its pretty short. I am 145lbs and ride a 157cm for my freeriding and its great.

 

Thanks - I'm starting out this year and do have a Bataleon Enemy 161 stored for when I progress. I was wondering if a 153 would hold me back but it's looking that - at this stage it's not going to be a big deal.

Im 270 and ride a 158 in pow. anything is possible if your legs are up to it

 

I am 5'9", 170lbs and I ride a Bataleon The Jam 153.

I haven't had any problems bombing or running in the powder I have been lucky enough to see. The Jam is a stiffish board so that probably helps.

Will probably pick up something a little larger for next season though, 155-157 feels pretty good for my size when I just want to haul ass.

 

Yeah, I'm 5'9" and 170lbs and I ride a 157 when I want to bomb and a 152 in the park.
