BC Heli / Powder focused board?

So nice to be emerging from the caves into the wild,
have a BC CMH heli trip in kootenay coming up in february and have a $300 credit to backcountry so getting a board half off is the mission.......

I'm 5'9" 180lbs and I've been riding my jones flagship 162W as my daily driver (love the thing - hard charger and i pick it over my archetype since it charges and carves well and rides powder better in my opinion).
If you don't drive the flag it drives you, and I like it for the steep technical things but want something powder focused for the trees / wide open surf moments. I want a directional pow slayer.

I'm looking at the burton fish (currently my top contender just seems fun in the deep) - Storm chaser (seems fine to me too just not sure I need to be a jones stan) - bataleon party + seems dope i just get worried about trading length for width (157 is fuckin tiny to me). I just want a dedicated pow board that I can have fun slashing and quick turning to contrast the flag since it does not feel nimble in trees.

Signal Tailgunner is what I would suggest. It can handle steep and deep of Heli but also be a great Powder board for resort days. It will not be overlap with what you already have.

I would be careful about taking a "pow specific" board on a Heli trip if you are going to be riding steeps and charging. its hard to find one that will check that box but still, be fun at the resort.

There are a few that could do the trick but the Signal is what I would get. 158CM

I'm absolutely going to bring my flag which does everything super well for me. I'm just looking for another quiver stick for any moments I get to have a little lower angle fun. I typically travel with 2-3 boards including a split for that reason - nice having options.

I've been eyeing a Korua Dart and it's all I have on the brain right now.
I love my volume shifted boards tho and nothing is better for trees and surfy moments. I wouldn't sweat the 57 size, I'm 200Lbs ride 61-65 usually and my Lib Step Tail is a 53 and is unsinkable and nimble yet stable and fast. Also handles groomers surprisingly well.

I have been too!!! Just pains me to pay that much to ship one to the US.

might be a tad more than u want to spend but worht if it u can find last yrs model.
id look at the k2 alchemist if ur riding a Wide board as a driver then anything softer might not suit, ur not goping to over power the k2 and its profile is perfect for what ur loooking for, its super fast and will handle any steep u can think of.
they have a 159w that at your weight, u shud take a good look at.

The storm wolf looks like it would suit you better than the storm chaser. I'll be heading out with Kootenay backcountry guides for a few days and I'll be using my Weston Backwoods split. Definitely recommend the Weston Backwoods, backcountry also has it in stock. I almost bought a Tailgunner for the days I'll be with Big Red Cats but decided to stick with the Orca I already own.
