Deepfake Thoughts/when to pull the trigger?

Looking for input on the deepfake if anyone's ridden it, as this was a board I was following the buzz on since it came out. I'm seeing that EVO has some in my size (with what seems to be a good deal of stock) so I'm trying to play the game to keep watching until it hits a closeout sale. Right now its 489/699 USD but I'm betting with this much stock this late in the season it'll go even lower.

So enough yapping, what's the forum's general take on this board? Written stuff and vids frame it as a AM high speed bulldozer; the carving and damping from the slimwalls has me interested. Looking to get a charger deck to pair with my SK as the fun/pow deck.

Try some of the CAN shops. Some will ship for free, or some charge a bit, some won't ship to USA, but usually they can beat USA prices easily thanks to the exchange rate. Be sure your CC doesn't charge a foreign transaction fee, or add 3% to your cost. (Discover cards and Citi do not charge for any cards I believe - double check first)

and don't forget to check for any new customer / email / promo codes!

US shop - EVO might price match https://www.skiessentials.com/products/2024-ride-deep-fake-snowboard-r230202701?currency=usd&board%20size=157w&srsltid=afmbooovnxopd8eu98qjuj_tui8dpvnyqtiwxvypertohnse1gigrnjpn-o

and don't forget if you use EVO cashback from click-throughs
(and a $30 referral for me/you) Canadian shops won't get you cashback, so that's another $ factor

Sorry, I'm kinda a nerd at sniffing out deals.
Right there with ya nerding deal hunting. More info for the OP … Evo knocks off an additional 5%, they don’t just match the lowest price dollar for dollar.

I was interested when it launched and they advertised a 10m sidecut, but that's really just the nose, it's 6.7m through the middle and might actually go off to infinity in the tail:

It's also fairly centered on board with a wide stance, so I don't think I'd get the setback that I'd like for freeride.

I'd like to see that construction in a board that's a little more freeride.

In Canada we have an earlier thanksgiving and some places will do a 'turkey sale' before black friday. They might get a bit cheaper... until they sell out. 40% is pretty good, it's rare to see more than 50%.

Deepfake is a stiffer all mountain board with a short fat sidecut like the Superpig. The radius specs are incomplete and the overall feel is like 7 m. I was unpleasantly suprised when I tested it and no suprise once I’ve found the sticker info.

The tech is kinda wasted in it with that sidecut, the older Mountain Pig (no split tail), Smokescreen and Commissioner (super stiff and heavy) all carve way harder (no auto turn with barely pushing it but a higher performance cap).

Ride should keep the Moderator, ditch the Deepfake and put that tech to the Commi (‘overengineered’ imo, you can just make a very stiff and heavy board and it will also plow like it). Smokescreen is super lightweight and pretty playful but at the cost of uneven heavy snow plowing that is related to the weight and stiffness).
