here’s the good news: You are a beginner and this is what it looks like at this stage. It’s awesome that you are doing this at age 50+!!!! The more time you spend on the board the more comfortable you will get. Gotta get those knees bent.
Can you take another lesson? I don’t think there’s any single piece of advice that’s going to work aside from just getting more time on the board. Other than playing around with bending your knees, I’d say maybe pick out some points along the slope and work on steering yourself to those spots and ride your edge to each and change edges at each spot, then repeat. Your body will figure out a lot the more time you spend on the board if you do it consistently rather than spaced out. Muscle memory.
