Anyone heard of them and if so were they good?
I 100 percent agree. A fragile warning on a $800 plus snowboard and the a break!?!? This was on a short list of boards I was considering in the near future. Not anymore.Sounds crappy, maybe not as bad as described here, but not ideal. The bigger issue is selling a board that requires any sort of “fragile” warning. That’s a non-starter out of the gate and reduces my confidence in the brand more than anything else (I’ve owned a few of their boards they’ve been great.)
One thing, when people complain about customer service, is that I don’t think everyone understands how hard it is for these brands to stay afloat. Cash is not flowing plentifully in the industry currently, and they have to be pretty tight with stuff to make it work.
That said, kindness and sympathy don’t cost much. Getting salty on social, regardless of what a customer is saying, is rarely the play.
That's just a poor design and crap construction on the tail. Compare it to the Jones Storm Chaser to see what it should be. In addition to full metal edges it also has metal tail caps to keep that from happening. They could easily solve this problem by doing what Jones does but that would cost them a little more money. I guess a warning sticker is cheaper then actually protecting the tail edges. The tail edge ends there so there’s a designed break between it and the main side edge. It seems like the tail edge lifted up from that point. Including a photo of the other tail so you can see what it looks like intact.

Which is weird because they do put the extra effort into the Surfari. View attachment 171053
I REALLY wish they made the surfari in a smaller size....157 seems kinda big for my 63KG.
They may have a point tho tbh. I chipped a bit out of the tail of my jelly last week. Those jones end caps seem like a solid approach.I 100 percent agree. I’ve only ridden the select and the singular twin which I would guess is pretty similar as far as flex… the ravine select is much more stiff and aggressive. I’d say the Surfari is more comparable to the ravine select. But hopefully someone can chime in with better experience.Anyone here has experience with both the Rome Ravine Select and the Amplid Singular? I ride former, but also got a Singular, because some online shop sold it for half the price back then, but so far I haven't ridden it yet. How different is the ride between the two, i.e. should I take it out or not (that is, sell it in a pristine state)?
Yeah, absolutely a quiver board, already have an archetype and aloha vibes but would fit the deep day niche which I don't own yet.I’ve got one, it’s an amazing deep day board, it’s also a one trick pony.
Got the pink one?I’ve got one, it’s an amazing deep day board, it’s also a one trick pony.
Agreed. Wanted one for the aesthetic but I prob dont need one.The pink one is beautiful (to me).
