Nope. Both have active strap tech, which most of the new(er) ones do; aluminum bases, locking LSR buckles, kush beds. Both are some of the stiffest that Flow makes as well. I have the NX2 RS and this years NX2.

 

I wouldn't get the hybrid unless you can get your boot in one and see IF you like it. It is the cross between traditional and flow's fusion. I didn't like them but to each his own!

 

Yeah, I am not looking for hybrids, just wanted to see if there was any reason to upgrade from my nx2-rs.

 

Curious of those that follow the development of Flow's I own an older pair (2007-2008 or so) of NXT-AT's that will need replacing in the not too distant future.

Are there particular year models that were big improvements over others or conversely models best avoided?

 

Flows within the past 2-3 years have been pretty good and have included most of the newest tech. The active strap tech has been the most recent from Flow. Everything flow offers is a decent jump from your NXT-AT's. Their website or YouTube is always good to find out what's new.

 

Thanks. I replaced the Flow's with a pair of GNU Mutants on my board but recently purchased a second board that will get the Flow's on them for now. I replaced the highback cables after they broke, really liked the customer service.

I never had any complaints about the old Flows, really liked them except maybe the handful of times I got stuck in fresh snow and had to re-strap but the new ones, as have the Gnu's, have addressed this issue.

I was looking around on ebay and saw some Flow NX2-SE's in Orange that looked super cool although they are the hybrid versions you mentioned not liking.

Will need to do some research before I buy.
