Is the Burton Process still a good buy in 2025?

Hi all, I am an intermediate rider looking to buy my new board ! I don't really have a clear identity as a rider yet, but at the moment I enjoy riding the groomers, going down the piste on moderate speed, and doing some side hits here and there. Haven't tried the park yet but I would love to give that a try.

I have my eyes on the Burton Process both because I love its aesthetics as well as for the build quality and that it was advertised to me as an all-around board.
The guy down at the snowboard shop told me that burton has kinda been left behind with their board tech and there are other options out there to try. He suggested the Bataleon Goliath or the Evil Twin.
What you guys think ? Is the Process still a good choice in 2025 and does it fit my riding profile ?

If it's your first real board, get something more traditional like a Process instead of something like Bataleon. If you go enough and find yourself wanting to branch out to something new you can always pick up another board, buy new bindings for your main board, then put your old bindings on the alternative board. Twin camber medium stiffness is about as tried and true as you can possible have a snowboard be. I am a big fan of progressing on true twin camber boards because if you can ride that well, you can ride anything. When you start going with different camber profiles and stuff they ride differently and you might end up with bad habits from doing things like getting a 3BT board that requires a different technique to get on edge.

Some tech is very useful, some is a gimmick just to change riding. But if you want to progress the best thing you can do on groomers and light park riding, is have a medium stiffness true twin camber board.

Hey Greg thanks for the response! I mostly ride in Europe (French and Italian Alps), I am only considering the Camber version, however I can't decide whether I should try something different/more modern in terms of tech, like the 3BT base of the Bataleon. As far as I can see online, the Whatever is quite similar to the Process

3bt you have to like. The way that Bataleon uses it (at least the boards I've tried), I don't like in riding. It feels quite 'loose' and you really have to put it on edge to get the grip. Then again, I have an Airheart that has the spoon shape, which has slightly raised edges. I do like that, but a normal camber is also fine.
