To each their own but I just can’t commit to anything but laces, and probably one of the reasons I’m still using my 10 year old boots. I did recently look up the Burton Kendo’s because my heal is separating off my right boot, but $2 of ShoeGoo vs $400+ for boots sounded better.

My look at it is if I break the BOA system on the hill I have to go back to the car to fix it, if that is I brought the extra repair kit. With my old school laces I can just tie a knot in the laces and carry-on or use the extra lace I have in my thigh pocket.

I guess lacing up my boots and strapping into my bindings isn’t that big of a deal or at least not a big enough issue to spend the $$ to buy BOA boots and step-in bindings.
