YES! It's my new main board for the riding I like to do! Here's a quote from the Proto FR thread "I picked up a 156 Valhalla a couple weeks ago and finally got to ride it this last week, Monday/Tuesday at Grand Targhee and Thursday/Friday at Sun Valley.... Holy Shit what a board! I did ride my 157 Swift on Tuesday because it was a full on blower powder day but the three other days Valhalla.... Gonna be my plan going forward, Swift for true deep powder and Valhalla for everything else except for playing around on my 153 Shaper Twin ;)
I’d love to hear more about the Swift vs Valhalla. I’ve got pow boards and was sort of wondering about a Swift more for piste (there’s a mint used one locally). I like the setback snowsurf style, but I need a softer one for rough conditions. The dampness of the Niche Maelstrom has really spoiled me, but I’d prefer a long nose short tail.

Easiest way to compare is Swift is better in absolute deep conditions but still great when runs get tracked out and on groomed... Valhalla is better charging groomed and chopped but still really good in pow.... Awesome to have both to choose from ;)

If you can get a swift for a good deal?
Get it.
It's my all time favorite board it handles EVERYTHING well.
It says powder & you can still rail carves with it.
Mine was my daily driver, I took it everywhere.

I to have other powder boards.
But none of them are as much fun as the Swift.
You'd have to be a retard to pass up a good deal on a swift.
Don't be that retard haha.

What size is it?
I might trade you something for it if you get it & don't want it

It’s a 157 from 2021... they’re asking $450, which seems a bit much to try out. Maybe a better deal when the season is over.

I’d prefer the normalish camber of a Valhalla, but the softness & dampness of the Swift. Just not sure it’s the board for me.

I love my Stalefish when it’s soft, close to perfect, but man it’s lively underfoot!

Yeah $450 doesn't sound like too sweet of a deal lol.
Even brand new that's too much for me lol

So talk them down. I second everything tt says about the swift. And you won't notice the not normalish camber at all. I'm a full camber guy and love the thing. It's my current daily.

Im 5'6", 200lbs, size 8.5 boot, what size swift would you recommend for me? I've been looking at it for a minute and this convo makes me want to jump on one. Being end of season might be able to pick one up for about $300 would it be worth it?

@ 200lbs I'd say get the 62.
I'm only like a buck 60 & I'm on the 62.
On paper apparently i should be on the 57, but i like bigger boards.
It works pretty damn good for me.

57 might work for you?
But the 62 would work much better.
Grab one they are fuckin' awesome.
Mine was also my daily driver, until it started to get used a little to often.
I want it to last so it only comes out on the deep dayz.

Looks to me like NS finally gave up on that rocker bullsh!t and went back to camber between the feet. Yeah, I know, it's camber, then rocker, then camber again.. but it sounds like bullsh!t. It looks to me like this is their way of saving face and joining what most of the crowd has already figured out, that camber between the feet is generally better than rocker between the feet for most applications.
NS triple camber profile is overall rocker so they haven't given up on it and it's not BS. Lol. The triple camber profile does have camber between the feet as well as 2 more camber zones but the overall shape of the board is rockered. Yes read that again or go look it up on their site. One is not better than the other. I ride both NS boards and a ton of cambered boards and both are good in their own right. It's just different strokes for different folks. But for reals a simple look on their site would have saved you from spouting bs. Or better yet go ride one.

I owned the Swift for one season and sold it bc I was also riding the Big Gun at the same time and it suited me better. The Swift compared to the Valhalla is flexier and looser feeling under foot. To me, the Swift felt even more aggressive of a ride bc of the looseness underfoot. A bit twitchy of a ride. The Valhala has a lot more grip and control bc of the TC and allows you to ride more aggressively but the Swift always felt very aggressive to me, esp bombing through trees. I prefer a more controlled and well behaved mellow ride which is why I like the Big Gun better than the Swift. The Swift however has a cult following and tons of ppl love it. Both Swift and Val carve well and lay trenches. Every NS board I've ridden has been very good at carving. Valhalla just feels a bit more locked in bc of the TC profile. Valhalla is a touch stiffer I think and eats up the crude and chop a little better. It's a damp ride while still feeling light and not heavy. Hope that helps.
