Poppier complement to Stepchild Sleazy Rider

I’ve been riding the same board since I “got good”, a Sleazy Rider 158 c. 2012 with Raiden Strike bindings. Starting on Burton Malavitas this year.

The setup has great characteristics for my riding style carving fast groomers, jumping side hits and the odd park kicker. I also love taking it off into the trees with powder but being in ontario those opportunities only come on trips. I am hoping to spend a few days in Banff this season but haven’t locked down those plans yet.

I’m looking to add another board and I’m not sure where to look. I want more pop - the stepchild has always been lacking and its age cant be helping. A softer board might be a fun complement because this one is tough to butter, but I don't want to sacrifice too much stability at speed. I also don’t want something too similar but since this is the only board I know, maybe there’s a similar option out there that’s a huge upgrade.

Any reccs?

It's probably time to retire your sleazy to rock board status. Instead of trying to compliment it, I'd personally replace it with a daily that ticks the boxes for all/most of your needs. I think you'll be happier with a modern quiver of one board

What he said, that thing is probably a wet noodle by now and the boards now are so much better, even a closeout deal on a 2-3 year old board would be a better experience

^Thirded. Just doing a quick arbitrary random search of the classifieds yielded this most excellent result:

Thanks for the input y’all. I should have mentioned that the board must have less than 50 days on it total, which might be why it doesn’t feel like trash. Point taken though that new boards have more to offer.

along those lines, these look like some decent options, any thoughts for my style of riding? I’m hesitant to go for a directional twin because I was focused and really improved my switch riding last season:
